We are seeking a Project Manager/Estimator to join our team in Farmville, NC. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing data to prepare cost estimates for steel construction projects ensuring their successful completion. Only candidates with experience in the commercial industrial steel sector will be considered for this position . We are proud to offer: Pay range: $75000 - $130000 / year Medical, dental and vision insurance Paid time off 401K with company match Health savings account Growth opportunities Great training Your responsibilities as a Project Manager/Estimator: Ensure the timely completion of projects through effective project scheduling, material expediting, and the management of material and document submittals/approvals. Conduct on-site visits to gather information about access, drainage, topography, and the availability of essential services such as water and electricity, considering any site conditions that may impact project costs. Collaborate with the Operations Manager, Shop Manager, and Engineer to develop and maintain a comprehensive project schedule, ensuring effective communication throughout the project. Efficiently manage project site logistics, encompassing customer notifications of work dates, site access, material laydown, crane access, and temporary facilities planning. Monitor administrative activities for the project, encompassing contract terms, subcontract agreements, insurance submittals, vendor submittals, accurate recording of manhours and phase codes, and timely delivery of accounting-related paperwork. Track project phases against the initial project estimate and provide feedback to the Operations Manager. Project Manager/Estimator qualifications: Bachelor's degree 2+ years of commercial steel project management/estimating experience required. Working knowledge of design principles and engineering specifications related to structural steel. Proficiency in using software programs related to structural steel quantity survey, material take-off and estimation. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, specifications and other technical documents. Understanding of basic geometry and trigonometry. Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Self-starter with an ability to work with other team members to ensure accuracy and efficiency in projects. Communicates well both verbally and in writing with excellent listening skills. Ability to balance and prioritize workload between multiple projects simultaneously. Exhibits innovative and creative ways to provide value engineering solutions. Attentive to detail and accuracy, committed to excellence, looks for improvements continuously, and exhibits consistent discipline. Available for overnight travel to job sites.
